I took part in the 3 Invivo workshops : the roots, the trunk and the crown. Each was really worth it. Giustina and Marie’s comments say all you need to know, I couldn’t say it any better than they did. I really enjoyed the workshops for the same reasons. It was concrete and well explained.
Once angain, thank you João and Frédéric for sharing your passion with us.

In vivo…

participate to the workshop had been a great experience!
I learnt a lot, about the techniques of course, but also about a different way of looking to reality, of expressing in images what I wanted to capture through my photos. And for the entire day I was away from the daily routine, in the wonderful scenario of the natural museum.
João,the professor, is really professional and nice, and was a plesure to follow him through the different rooms of the museum, each time discovering something new about my camera.
I really hope there will be the chance to partecipate to an other workshop.
I highly recommend this workshop for anybody wants to learn more about their camera, about photography, and to those who want to pass a nice day away from the daily stress 🙂

I participated in the In Vivo Workshop and it was a great experience. João is an amazing photographer and an outstanding instructor. He combines both technical and artisitic approaches, so we were very pleased to learn photography in that amazing museum! Thank you again João and Frederic for the organizaton!

  6. I went to the three workshops, the root, the trunk and the crown, all at the Museum of Natural Sciences (Brussels), and I loved the experience!
I learned a lot, not only with João, but also from seeing the different perspectives with witch the other participants see the same objects (we all see the same things in different ways).
The place (Museum of Natural Sciences) is wonderful, very interesting, and provides some very nice challenges.
I absolutely recommend it, and would attend other workshops!
    Thank you João and Frederic!

It was my second photo workshop with Joao and Frederic team (first the Causas and then In Vivo) and it was great!!! again 🙂 Organization, place, planning, information and practice provided, environment etc. were “impeccable” (as French say :). I loved a lot the place of the workshop (Museum of the Natural Sciences in Brussels) where there are lots of things to see/observe/work with and where I’ll be back for sure because the guys provided us with the annual tickets (included in the price). In general, in this workshop you can discover old/new things, be creative, “break the rules”, practice, do mistakes, analyze and practice again. Very useful for the people interested in the photo world. The group of participants was not very big and I think it’s an advantage. Good emotions and positive vibes are guaranteed! I would recommend it to everyone 🙂

A very worth while day, breathing photography in a magnificent setting, with wonderful Autumn light!!!
Simple and functional approach to concepts. We spent the day with the camera in M selection, for Manual. This is something I had never tried before…Though I did have some insight on such concepts, these were easily mastered due to the experimental/practical character of the IN VIVO.

    Congrats João Gil!

I am also waiting for the Trunk!!

Congratulations on the way the workshop is structured, either technically or in the means of communication.
    Absolutely “In Vivo” experiences. Thanks.
See you soon, in the following “In Vivo” editions…

In Vivo is, most of all, getting involved…

… with the stunning place to which we never get tired of looking at,
… with our camera, that is much more capable than what we had imagined,
… with the people that were together with us, with their own ways of seeing the same things we all saw.

And this was the root only! We eagerly wait for the trunk!
